    Radiant Barrier Coatings help to maintain a comfortable, energy efficient climate for your home's interior.

    Radiant barriers were first developed by NASA to help protect the computers and sophisticated electronics aboard space going instruments and spacecrafts. The radiant barriers would act as a shield reflecting the harmful radiation from the sun off of the delicate electronics sitting inside. When the spacecraft flew into the cold shadows of space, the radiant barrier would actually keep the heat inside protecting it from the cold. This thin layer is the spacecrafts' vital protection, without the radiant barrier nothing would survive.

Back on Earth, the radiant barrier was put to use in the building industry. They have been in use for quite some time.

One problem builders faced with radiant barriers was the ability to fit it to the building's skeletal structure. The framing members make installing the radiant barrier's sheeting film near impossible in some buildings. To be truly effective, the building must have a continuous barrier in place.

Paint manufactures saw an opportunity to produce a product that could be sprayed into tight areas, and cover building materials that would have been impossible to cover with a sheeting material.

They designed and tested radiant barrier coatings to perform the same as their solid film counterparts do. It creates an unobstructed, complete radiant barrier for your building's protection.
